Employment-focused law firm Lewis Silkin has launched an Asia intellectual property practice in Hong Kong after hiring David Swain as a partner from local firm Deacons, where he was a senior associate.

Lewis Silkin opened its Hong Kong office in 2015. In 2019, it established its local law practice in the city and converted into a Hong Kong partnership.

Swain, who will head the IP group in Hong Kong, advises on patents, trademarks, design rights, copyright commercial IP matters and data and privacy law.
