Indian law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has hired a corporate team from Tatva Legal in the southern city of Bengaluru, including equity partner Manav Nagaraj and partner KS Bhargava.

The hires come at a time when Bengaluru, widely known as India’s IT hub, has been seeing a battle for legal talent. Top-tier Indian law firms that have made lateral partner hires in this year alone include Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, J Sagar Associates, Trilegal and Link Legal.

With more than 21 years of experience, Nagaraj specialises in local and international private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, inbound and outbound investments, debt financing, general corporate transactions, and general advisory. He joined Tatva in 2010 from Dua Associates, where he was a partner and spent nearly eight years.

Meanwhile, Bhargava, who has more than 12 years of experience, focuses on corporate, commercial, and real estate matters.
