Clifford Chance has advised real estate deveoper Eco World International (EWI) on its $580 million IPO and listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, the biggest IPO in the country so far this year. 

Paul Hastings is also involved in the deal, representing the IPO’s joint bookrunners, which include CIMB Investment Bank, Maybank Investment Bank, Hong Leong Investment Bank and UOB Kay Hian Securities.

EWI is looking to use proceeds from the IPO to finance projects in the UK and Australia. This listing is largest in Malaysia since independent power producer Malakoff Corp’s IPO in 2015. 

CC partners Raymond Tong and Johannes Juette oversaw the transaction for the firm, while the Paul Hastings team was led by partner Steven Winegar.
