Our client is currently looking for a mid to senior-level associate to join its award winning banking team in their Hong Kong office.  Our client is an elite global law firm serving leading companies, financial institutions and governments worldwide. 

With lawyers operating from more than 25 locations globally, they have invested heavily in building a high-quality full-service practice competing at the top of the market both in Asia and globally.   Low attrition, excellent career path prospects and training regime.

You will work on high-profile and innovative financing transactions in Asia with award-winning lawyers and teams.

Duties and Accountabilities

  • Acting for banks and other financial institutions, corporates and financial sponsors in connection with a borad range of cross-border and complex banking and finance transactions including structured leveraged and corporate finance transactions, equity margin financings and  restructurings,

Qualifications 

  • Admission in Australia, England & Wales, Singapore, Hong Kong or equivalent common law bar
  • PQE 5 – 7 years 
  • Experience in general banking finance; broad exposure preferable consisting of a combination of aquisition finance, trade finance, corporate finance, syndicated and bilateral financings (both secured and unsecured)
  • Experience in a top tier international firm working on cross border transactions
  • Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential
