India’s HSA Advocates has hired banking and finance specialist Amit Charan as a partner in its Delhi office from SNG & Partners, where he was a principal associate.

Charan’s appointment comes after HSA acquired infrastructure boutique GS Associates, hired Gaurav Sahay as a corporate/M&A partner in Bengaluru from Kochhar & Co and acquired boutique firm DLS Law Offices.

The past few weeks have seen HSA beef up its ranks following a series of departures. In April, it lost 12 lawyers, including senior partners Anjan Dasgupta and Aparajit Bhattacharya, to DSK Legal. Prior to that, it witnessed the exits of eight lawyers to IndusLaw and three to Argus Partners,

Charan’s areas of practice include including project finance, structured finance, asset finance, acquisition finance, bond issuance, consortium lending, syndication, structured loans and more. He earlier worked at J. Sagar Associates and L&L Partners.
