The Singapore office of Norwegian law firm Simonsen Vogt Wiig has hired maritime lawyer Torgeir Willumsen as a resident partner from Oslo-headquartered Wikborg Rein.

Willumsen handles a wide range of work related to both the contentious and non-contentious side of maritime law. His specialties are sale/purchase, lease and financing of vessels, shipbuilding/offshore construction as well as marine and energy insurance and casualty work.  

Willumsen was a senior lawyer at Wikborg Rein and joined the firm as an associate in 2006. He moved to the firm’s Japan office in 2009 and joined the Singapore office as a senior lawyer in 2013.
