Delivering the opening address, Amantha Chia, senior director of Thomson Reuters Legal Media Group, noted that the awards had received more than 1500 entries from over 260 law firms and in-house teams, a 22 percent increase from last year. “These awards are happening at an exciting time for the Southeast Asian region, which shook off the effects of the pandemic to record 5.5 percent growth in 2022,” she said.
