In the in-house categories, Valerie Feria Amante, global general counsel of Jollibee Group, was named as InHouse Lawyer of the Year. “This award represents the work of the diverse team of lawyers and paralegals across our offices in the Philippines, China, Vietnam, USA, Singapore and Ireland, as well as the collaboration of colleagues from different functions and businesses across the Jollibee Group,” she said. The Woman Lawyer of the Year (In-House) went to Rachel Yee, head of Legal & Compliance, Singapore and Southeast Asia at Sembcorp Industries. “I hope this award is a positive affirmation to my fellow peers grappling with similar struggles; That while a daunting task, it is possible to find that balance between delivering at work and being there for the family, and it starts with us building the right nurturing culture that fosters excellence,” she said. GoTo was named SE Asia InHouse Team of the Year and Technology, Media and Telecommunications In-House Team of the Year, while the Young Lawyer of the Year (In-House) award went to Daniel Lo, chief legal officer of Cake DeFi. Pfizer received the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical In-House Team of the Year award.
