More than 1130 entries were received this year from 238 law firms and in-house teams, marking a 28 percent increase over 2022. The most popular categories were Woman Lawyer of the Year (Law Firm) (51 entries), followed by Young Lawyer of the Year (Law Firm) and In-House Lawyer of the Year (both 50 entries), Dispute Resolution Law Firm of the Year (41), and Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year (40). A total of 53 awards were presented, with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) topping the winner’s list with five awards. Trilegal followed it with four awards, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) and AZB & Partners (three each), and Khaitan & Co, Anand and Anand and Saraf and Partners (two each). SAM’s haul included Managing Partner of the Year (for Akshay Chudasama), Woman Lawyer of the Year (Law Firm) (for Gunjan Shah), Litigation Law Firm of the Year, Restructuring and Insolvency Law Firm of the Year, and India Law Firm of the Year. “We are elated about winning the highly coveted ALB India Law Awards.
