Baker & McKenzie has appointed Gary Seib as its Asia Pacific regional council chair, while Ai Ai Wong takes on the role of deputy chair.

The Hong Kong-based Seib takes over from Bruce Hambrett who will be returning to Australia after having been based in the Baker & McKenzie’s Singapore office for four years. His place on the global executive committee will be taken by the Singapore-based Wong, a principal with Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow.

Seib and Wong will serve as Asia-Pacific representatives on Bakers’ most senior leadership team of eight members, with responsibility for developing and implementing global business strategy and managing the firm's day-to-day business across 77 offices in 47 countries.

All further regional leadership roles continue for another year, aside from one new appointment: Hong Kong Partner Stephen Crosswell has been appointed to the role of Asia Pacific anti-trust and competition practice group head.
