Shailyamanyu Singh, who has previously held the roles of regional legal head of Dyson in Asia and general counsel of Procter & Gamble’s India business, has relocated from his Singapore-base to join Indian intellectual property law firm Anand and Anand as designate partner.

Singh’s hire reflects Anand and Anand’s efforts to scale up its corporate practice and foray into broader services, the firm said in a statement. Last year, it created a new firm, Anand & Naik, to focus on all matters beyond IP.

In his in-house roles, Singh managed the legal team and oversaw all legal and compliance matters, gaining significant experience in corporate compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, and corporate secretarial matters.

“Shail understands the importance of combining legal expertise with practical business acumen, and his experience working closely with senior management and clients across the globe enables him to deliver pragmatic solutions for businesses,” Anand and Anand said in a statement.

In his new role, Singh will work directly with Safir Anand, head of the trademarks, contracts and commercial IP practice groups.
