Indian law firm DSK Legal has raided rival HSA Advocates for 12 lawyers in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Joining DSK as senior partners are Anjan Dasgupta and Aparajit Bhattacharya, with Nand Kishore, Harvinder Singh, Aninda Pal and Sharath Chandrasekhar moving as partners.

With the hire of Chandrasekhar, DSK is re-establishing its Bengaluru office, which the firm had closed earlier. While initially the office will be working on corporate, M&A, real estate, financing and other non-contentious advisory work, the firm plans to add a litigation offering shortly.

DSK Legal now has more than 130 lawyers nationally, including 32 partners and associate partners. The recent hiring spree follows on the heels of the appointments of Kirat Singh Nagra and Rishi Anand, who joined the firm earlier this year from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

Joining the DSK office in Delhi are Bhattacharya, Singh and associate partner Devika Chadha. Bhattacharya’s areas of focus include corporate/commercial, M&A and PE/VC; he is also a part of the projects practice.

Meanwhile, the DSK Mumbai office has welcomed Dasgupta, Kishore, Pal, associate partner Avinash Kumar Khard, and Kishore’s tax team of two principal associates, a senior associate and an associate. Dasgupta focuses on infrastructure, energy project development and finance, public private partnerships, government contracts and public procurement. And Kishore’s practice areas include direct and indirect tax and anti-trade laws.
