Reed Smith has further strengthened its litigation practice in Hong Kong with the hire of Mark West as a partner from Kennedys, where he was co-head of regulatory.

This is Reed Smith’s second litigation partner hire in Hong Kong in a matter of weeks, following the addition of Stephen Chan from Oldham Li & Nie in May. The firm also hired regulatory and investigations specialist Dora Wang as a partner in Shanghai and New York. 

West advises Hong Kong-listed companies, multinational companies and high net-worth individuals on regulatory investigations, commercial litigation and arbitration, white collar crimes and fraud investigations and prosecution defence.

West began his career with HFW. He had an in-house stint with Western Union before joining Kennedys.

Reed Smith's Hong Kong office currently has more than 100 lawyers.
