Jingtian & Gongcheng has hired capital markets expert Liu Wei as a partner in its Hong Kong office from DLA Piper, where he was the head of the China practice.

Liu’s hire come less than a month after Jingtian’s Hong Kong office hired Du Jun as its head of debt capital markets practice. Du joined from King & Wood Mallesons. 
Liu, who was one of first PRC lawyers to practice in Hong Kong, also focuses on cross-border M&A, FDI, real-estate, and foreign dispute resolution. He has more than three decades of experience.
A statement from Jingtian said that Liu will lead a corporate team also includes partner Justin Ma.

Mixue Bingcheng and Guming, both among China's top five tea beverage chains in terms of store count, submitted listing prospectuses to the HKEX, with the former expecting to raise between $500 million to $1 billion, and the latter between $300 million to $500 million.
