A record-breaking 65 law firms and in-house teams made 423 submissions. “This impressive level of participation is a testament to the high standards and achievements of the legal community in Japan,” said Amantha Chia, senior director of Thomson Reuters’ Legal Media Group, expressing gratitude for the high level of interest. Mori Hamada & Matsumoto was the night’s biggest winner with eight awards, including the prestigious Japan Law Firm of the Year. It also won Banking and Financial Services Law Firm of the Year, Capital Markets Law Firm of the Year, Investment Fund Law Firm of the Year, Japan Deal Firm of the Year, Regulatory and Compliance Law Firm of the Year, Restructuring and Insolvency Law Firm of the Year and Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law Firm of the Year. “We are very grateful to our clients who have put their trust in us to handle their most important legal matters.
