Simmons & Simmons has hired disputes expert Gary Yin as a partner in Hong Kong from PRC firm Jingtian & Gongcheng, where he led the disputes and investigations practice.

Yin, who has more than two decades of experience, advises on general commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, insolvency-related matters, international trade and financial disputes.

He is Simmons’ second partner hire in Asia in the past six months. In July, venture capital specialist Dax Lim joined the Singapore office from Osborne Clarke.

With Yin’s appointment, the firm now has six partners in greater China dispute resolution practice.
