London-based law firm Lewis Silkin has bolstered its dispute resolution capability with the addition of Kenix Yuen as a partner from local boutique Gall Solicitors.

Having spent the entirety of her decade-long career at Gall, Yuen advises listed companies in Hong Kong and the PRC and individuals on cross-border litigation, arbitration and shareholder disputes. She became a partner at Gall in 2020.

“As we continue to grow and enhance our contentious offering in Hong Kong and internationally, Kenix brings expertise and skill in an area of strategic importance to us and enhances the firm’s dispute resolution strength in our key sectors and markets,” said Jezamine Fewins, co-managing partner and litigation head at Lewis Silkin Hong Kong office, in a statement.

Lewis Silkin established its Hong Kong office in 2015 after hiring employment expert Catherine Leung as a partner from Baker McKenzie, with Femins joining from Stephenson Harwood in 2021. At the end of 2022, the office lost two partners: Asia IP head David Swain became general counsel at Essex Bio-Technology, while Hong Kong office head Kathryn Weaver moved to Seyfarth Shaw.

With Yuen’s arrival, Lewis Silkin now has three partners in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, the departure of Yuen continues a recent streak of partner exits for Gall. Family law partners Kajal Aswani and Caroline McNally moved to Hugill & Ip in late 2023.
