Offshore law firm Harneys has appointed restructuring and insolvency specialist Nicola Roberts as a partner in Hong Kong from Ogier, where she spent more than a decade practicing in BVI and Jersey.

Roberts’ appointment comes two months after Harneys added another restructuring partner, Julie Engwirda, in Hong Kong from Travers Thorp Alberga.

Roberts’ practice focuses on restructuring and insolvency, fraud, asset-tracing, contentious trust matters, and regulatory work including sanctions. She has more than 20 years of experience.

With Roberts’ hire, the firm has 36 in its restructuring practice in Hong Kong, including eight partners. The broader Hong Kong office has 53 lawyers, including 13 partners.
