Dechert has hired Mark Mangan as a partner in its international arbitration practice in Singapore from Freshfields.

Mangan, who has acted as counsel in more than 25 commercial, investment treaty and sports arbitration matters, focuses on disputes in the oil and gas, finance, telecommunications, and food and beverage sectors.

“Mark is one of the leading arbitration practitioners in Singapore and we are very pleased to have him join our team,” said Eduardo Silva Romero, the chair of Dechert’s international arbitration practice, in a statement. “With the growth of Singapore as a seat for strategically important arbitrations, adding Mark strengthens our global reach and will be of great benefit to our clients.”

Mangan has also served as an arbitrator in cases seated in London, Paris, Stockholm and Singapore.
