Matthew Bersani, Shearman & Sterling’s former Asia managing partner, is set to join Hong Kong-based recruitment firm Asia Search Partners.

Bersani, who spent more than  20 years at Shearman, is a capital markets specialist. He has advised China and Asia-based companies on U.S and Hong Kong IPOs.

Asia Search Partners was co-founded by Bersani and his wife Molly Cliff in 2007. The couple also recently launched Cliff Group in New York, which will provide bespoke advice for law firms and partner-level lateral candidates, and also include recruitment, consulting and coaching.

Stephenson Harwood has added another partner to its Hong Kong office, this time hiring capital markets practitioner Amy Yu from Eversheds Sutherland. Yu was at Eversheds for nearly nine years.
