Submissions for the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2017 are now open. Now on its 12th year, the event will bring together the brightest and finest law practitioners across Southeast Asia and India.

To make this event a more inclusive and engaging regional platform, ALB has introduced several changes in the research methodology this year.

The 2017 awards will present a larger number of categories, 44 to be exact: seven for deal, six for in-house and six for individual as well as 25 for firm, including the sought-after SE Asia Law Firm of the Year category.

Entirely new categories have also been added this year, namely, Woman Lawyer of the Year, Young Lawyer of the Year, Insurance In-House Team of the Year, Law In Order Award International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year, Medical Law Firm of the Year, Rising Law Firm of the Year and Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law Firm of the Year.

Furthermore, the event promises increased support and participation by winners of the 2016 awards in Indonesia and the Philippines, as well as winners of the 2016 and 2017 awards in Malaysia, as they will get the chance to showcase their expertise alongside legal elites from Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and other SE Asian countries where ALB has not yet launched the law awards.

Following the months-long research and preparation for this prestigious event, ALB will host a black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony on May 19 in Singapore.

Deal submissions will close on March 3, while individual, in-house and firm category submissions will close on March 15.
