Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co has promoted 13 new partners across three Indian cities and a variety of practice areas as part of its “Version 3” strategy of becoming a 1000-lawyer firm by 2017.

Five of the promoted lawyers are in the corporate practice area, while three are in disputes and three others are in the competition practice.

“These promotions reflect the firm’s continued investment across its key practice areas in direct response to client needs and the firm’s commitment to the Version 3 plan evolved,” said Cyril Shroff, Amarchand managing partner, in a statement. “It also reflects its primary strategy of organic growth and its endorsement of deep internal bench strength.”

Brothers Shardul and Cyril Shroff have “amicably resolved” their very public dispute, and Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh Shroff & Co will “split and bifurcate into separate entities independently” practicing law, according to a press release.
