Canadian law firm Bennett Jones has relocated partner George Vlavianos to the firm's Doha office, where he will serve as Qatar managing partner.

As co-leader of the firm's arbitration group, Vlavianos’ practice focuses on commercial disputes and construction law. He has acted for energy companies and contractors in a wide range of energy and construction disputes, and has represented major institutional clients in complex, multiparty proceedings. He also has international arbitration experience both as counsel and arbitrator.

"With George's move from Canada to lead our Doha office, Bennett Jones continues to solidify its position as the preeminent Canadian law firm in the region,” the firm’s leadership said in a statement. "George's experience in a wide range of commercial and construction disputes in Qatar and the Middle East make him a perfect fit for Bennett Jones' Doha office.”
