Offshore financial law firm Walkers recently named Andy Randall as the managing partner of its Hong Kong office. Randall will succeed present managing partner Guy Locke who will relocate to the firm’s Cayman Islands office in 2012.

The promotion came as a strategic move to bolster Walkers’ strength in corporate finance, funds and private equity advisory in Hong Kong, Singapore and across Asia.

Randall joined the Hong Kong office of Walkers in 2004, and was promoted to a partner position in 2007. He has headed the firm’s Finance and Corporate Group in Hong Kong since 2009. Prior to joining Walkers, he worked for the commercial department of Johnson Stokes & Master (which later became Mayer Brown JSM) in Hong Kong before which he was with Mallesons Stephen Jaques’ Sydney banking and finance practice.

An expert in finance and corporate advisory work, Randall specializes in structured finance, asset finance, capital markets and general corporate law.

Randall’s promotion came on the heels of Walkers’ recent relocation of its global head of investment funds Rod Palmer from its Cayman Islands branch to the Hong Kong office. ALB
