ATMD Bird & Bird recently announced that former Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow partner Lorraine Anne Tay will be joining its intellectual property and technology practice in Singapore.

Tay has nearly 16 years of experience in non-contentious and general advisory intellectual property (IP) matters. She focuses on multijurisdictional portfolios, cross border IP disputes, global due diligence, and commercial transactions involving IP. While at Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow, Tay headed the trademark registration practice in the firm.

“Lorraine brings additional expertise to the team in regional trademark portfolio work and brand management strategy.  Her 16 years of experience add to the already significant depth of IP expertise within the practice. With Lorraine on board, the firm further boosts its strong partner-driven practice, bringing the total number of IP partners in the group to seven,” said Sheena Jacob, head of the Intellectual Property and Technology Group at ATMD Bird & Bird.

Last year, the ATMD Bird & Bird IP and Technology Group counseled Chanel, Microsoft and Nokia in addition to Record TV in the Singapore Court of Appeal on a high-profile copyright infringement case regarding TV program time shifting. ALB
