Lend Lease has appointed a new group general counsel. Karen Pedersen has taken up the role and joins from Leighton Holdings where she was deputy general counsel.

Pedersen will report to group chief executive officer and managing director Steve McCann.  Pedersen replaces William Hara, who left Lend Lease late last year to join Qube as general counsel and company secretary. Throughout her 20 years of legal experience Pedersen has also held senior legal roles at Brookfield Multiplex and Clayton Utz.

Other recent general counsel appointments include Natalie Allen, who has been appointed as general counsel at Mirvac Group. Allen was previously joint company secretary and group general counsel at Charter Hall Group.
