Clyde & Co has hired Islamic finance partner Adil Hussain from Herbert Smith Freehills. Hussain will be based in the firm’s Abu Dhabi office.

Hussain advises banks in Abu Dhabi and the Middle East on structuring and developing Islamic finance products, and transactional matters. He will work closely with Dubai-based banking and finance partner Adrian Low and corporate partner Abdulaziz Al-Bosaily in Riyadh to deepen Clyde & Co’s regional Islamic finance offering.

Hussain’s appointment follows Clyde & Co’s hire of arbitration partner Christopher Jobson from Eversheds for its Abu Dhabi office.

Clyde & Co now has seven partners in Abu Dhabi and 39 in Middle East and North Africa.
