Locke Lord has expanded its Hong Kong practice by hiring corporate lawyer Richard Grams as a consultant from Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff in Shanghai, where he was the partner-in-charge.

Grams specialises in corporate and securities matters in China and Hong Kong, and advises on market entry, M&A, cross-border investment, regulatory compliance, IP infringement, employment disputes, corruption, fraud, and enforcement action. He has acted for clients in the aerospace, healthcare, specialty chemicals, retail and distribution, and financial sectors.

He recently advised a U.S. aircraft manufacturer on a joint venture with a state-owned Chinese company to produce components for China’s C919 civilian airliner, and also acted for a global electronics manufacturer on its acquisition of several suppliers in China.
