Latham & Watkins has appointed corporate lawyer Farhana Sharmeen as a partner in the firm’s Singapore office from Withers KhattarWong. 

Sharmeen has over two decades of experience covering corporate transactions, with her core practice areas including public and private M&A, privatisations and acquisition financing. Sharmeen also advises on Singapore capital markets transactions, as well as regulatory and compliance issues for listed companies and corporate governance.

Commencing her practice in 1996, Sharmeen also worked for Drew & Napier for 12 years, becoming a director there.

Latham opened its Singapore office in 1997, and it now has 35 lawyers. Sharmeen’s arrival takes the number of partners in the office to 11.
