Clyde & Co has increased the number of partners in its Hong Kong office to 13 after hiring aviation specialist Peter Coles from HFW, and relocating Christopher Jobson from Abu Dhabi, where he was the managing partner.

Coles, who has 29 years of experience in the aerospace and insurance industries, focuses on advising airlines, general aviation and business jet operators, airports, manufacturers, MROs and ground handlers.

Jobson joined Clyde in 1990 as a dispute resolution and marine lawyer in Hong Kong, moved to the Dubai office in 1994. His clients include energy companies, insurance and financial institutions, publicly listed entities, and transport organisations.

Jobson will take on a regional management role, sitting on Clyde’s Asia Pacific Management Board.
