UK law firm Addleshaw Goddard has hired Lance Jiang in its Hong Kong office from Chinese distressed-debt manager Great Wall AMC International Holdings, where he was co-head of the legal function. Jiang will be made partner in the spring of 2019.

Jiang specialises in corporate finance and has expertise in debt and debt capital markets as well as Special Situations transactions such as restructurings and NPLs. When he becomes partner, Addleshaws will have six partners in Asia and 35 other fee-earners.

Jiang’s hire follows the addition of two legal directors – Janie Wong and Eric Chan – to the firm's Hong Kong disputes practice earlier this year. The pair joined from Dechert and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, respectively.
