Morrison & Foerster has expanded its litigation practice in Tokyo with the appointment of Daiske Yoshida as a partner from Latham & Watkins.

Yoshida’s practice areas include antitrust, litigation, international arbitration, intellectual property litigation and licensing. He spent more than two decades at Latham, joining the firm as an associate in 1998.

With the addition of Yoshida, the number of partners at Morrison & Foerster’s Tokyo office is 34. The firm is the second-largest international firm in Japan, with a headcount of 110 lawyers, according to the ALB Top 50 rankings for 2018
