California-headquartered firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has appointed Wanda Woo as a partner in the firm’s corporate and securities practice in Hong Kong from Kirkland & Ellis.

Woo had joined Kirkland as a partner last year from Shearman & Sterling, where she was an associate. Prior to this, she was with Linklaters.

Woo advises issuers and underwriters in equity and debt capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, share placings, rights offerings, bond offerings, and other corporate compliance work associated with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (HKSFC).

The appointment of Woo comes after partner Khoon Jin Tan left Wilson Sonsini to join Winston & Strawn in Hong Kong.
