- An in-house regional role covering Asia, based in Hong Kong, for a strong IP lawyer with a focus on copyright and music licensing.
- The successful candidate will be part of the leadership team and will be the key legal counsel and advisor for the Asia region.
- Responsibilities will include advising on copyright licensing in the region, monitoring and influencing the political and regulatory developments in Asia that may impact the industry, driving IP enforcement initiatives including advising and assisting in enforcement actions, and attending to corporate secretarial matters.
- The successful candidate will also manage and train a junior lawyer and legal interns.
Qualification
- Law degree from a reputable university
- At least 8 years experience practising IP law with a focus on copyright law
- Preference given to those with a sound understanding of the international copyright framework relating to sound recordings
- Experience in working across different cultures and nationalities
- English written and spoken fluency required
- Mandarin language skills preferred
