London-headquartered Kennedys has grown its Singapore litigation practice further with the hire of Glenn Cheng as a partner and director from K&L Gates Straits Law.

Cheng’s appointment comes after the firm hired a string of litigators in Singapore last year, primarily in the insurance space. They included Akramjeet Khaira from Kelvin Chia Partnership and Patrick Yeo and Lim Hui Ying from Withers KhattarWong.

Cheng’s practice focuses on onshore and offshore construction, engineering, civil and maritime law. Before joining K&L Gates in 2016, he was at the Singapore office of the legacy Nabarro from 2011 onwards.

With the addition of Cheng, Kennedys now has 15 partners in Singapore.
