Acquisition finance specialist Andrew Bishop has joined Latham & Watkins as a partner in the firm’s private equity finance practice in Hong Kong from White & Case.

Bishop advises private equity funds, venture funds, credit funds, and other institutional and strategic investors on financings, including leveraged acquisition finance, take-private and real estate finance, debt buybacks, bank/bond transactions, bridge finance, margin loans and back-leverage financings, as well as subscription and capital call financings.

Prior to joining White & Case as a partner in 2017, Bishop worked with Weil Gotshal & Manges and Ropes & Gray in the UK.

Bishop’s arrival takes the number of partners at Latham’s Hong Kong office to 22. The office recently lost debt finance partner Manas Chandrashekar to Kirkland & Ellis.
