Linklaters has established an investment funds practice in Singapore with the hire of Joel Seow as a partner from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

Seow’s hire is the Magic Circle firm’s second partner addition in Asia in a matter of weeks. It recently welcomed back Betty Yap in Hong Kong as the global co-head of its Financial Sponsor Group.

Seow joined Morgan Lewis in 2019 from Sidley Austin. His expertise includes private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, hedge funds and special situations funds. Prior to joining Sidley, Seow worked at Clifford Chance and Dechert.

Following his hire, Linklaters presently has 18 partners in Singapore.
