newsBaker McKenzie has advised Tokyo-based Nikkiso, a specialized pumps and systems provider, on the 696 million euro ($768 million) sale of Germany’s LEWA, Dutch company Geveke, and their respective subsidiaries, to Swedish compressor provider Atlas Copco.

LEWA is a manufacturer of diaphragm metering pumps, process pumps and metering systems. Meanwhile, Geveke distributes compressors and engineers pump installations.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2022. with the sale, Nikkiso aims to refocus its core business in the regions.

The Baker McKenzie team was led by partners Jiro Toyokawa, Jon Marcus Meese, and Nikolaus Reinhuber. They were supported by partners Mohammed Almarini, Piotr Korzynski, Christian Burholt, Kathrin Marchant, Matthias Köhler and Thomas Gierath.
