Allen & Gledhill has advised venture capital firm Insight Partners and U.S. private equity firm Smash Capital in their investment into Singaporean digital content monetisation platform Coda Payments.

Coda raised $690 million from Insight Partners, Smash Capital, and Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC. According to Reuters, the firm plans to use the funds to expand to more territories through cross-border payments and alternative app stores.

The A&G team advising Smash Capital was led by partners Sunit Chhabra, Adrian Ang and Nicholas Soh. Meanwhile, the team representing Insight Partners was led led by partners Julian Ho, Alexander Yap, Tan Zhi Feng, Lim Pek Bur, Elsa Chen and Tan Wee Meng.

Also advising Insight Partners were A&G network firms Rahmat Lim & Partners in Malaysia and Soemadipradja & Taher in Indonesia. The Rahmat Lim team was headed by partners Chen Lee Won and Lum Sher Vin, while the Soemadipradja team was led by partner Denia Isetianti.
