U.S. law firm Goodwin Procter has hired private equity specialist Daniel Dusek as partner in Hong Kong from Kirkland & Ellis.

Dusek is Goodwin’s most recent addition to the PE practice in the past year. In June last year, Edwin Chan joined Goodwin’s Hong Kong office as a partner from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Then in October, it hired Phil Culhane and Elyn Xing as partners from Culhane & Associates and Debevoise & Plimpton, respectively.

With more than 20 years of experience in cross-border corporate issues including M&A, disposals, auctions, private equity and leveraged buyouts, take-privates, spin-offs and joint ventures, Dusek advises large private equity investors and corporations.

Dusek joined Kirkland in 2017. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York, Beijing and Hong Kong.

With this addition, Goodwin now has 13 partners in Hong Kong.
