U.S. law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has doubled its partner count in Hong Kong after hiring corporate lawyer Bosco Yiu from Goodwin Procter

The move comes some months after Paul, Weiss’ China practice head, Betty Yap, left the firm to return to Linklaters. The U.S. firm has one other partner in Hong Kong – Judie Ng Shortell.

With close to two decades of experience, Yiu advises private equity funds, investment banks, corporations and venture capital firms including Hillhouse Investment, Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia, DST Global, Morningside, FountainVest Partners, Balderton Capital, McDonald’s and Delivery Hero on investments, M&A, Hong Kong IPOs, regulatory and compliance, reorganizations and equity capital markets transactions.

Yiu joined Goodwin in 2018 from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. He previously worked for Herbert Smith Freehills and Simmons & Simmons.
