He is currently representing a group of 377 claimants in a $65m representative action against Terraform Labs, once one of the world’s biggest and most infamous cryptocurrency operators. This is the first representative action of its kind involving cryptocurrency in Singapore and involves novel aspects of product liability, misrepresentation, and fraud.

Another notable case is Rai’s representation of The Wave Studio in a copyright infringement suit against the General Hotel Management group. At both trial and appeal (where he went up against two separate senior counsels), he successfully established that GHM had infringed The Wave Studio’s copyright in hundreds of photographs.
