Singapore law firm Gurbani & Co has entered into a strategic partnership with Indonesia’s Sutedja & Partners that aims to assist corporate and individual clients in both countries. Sutedja will operate as Sutedja & Partners in association with Gurbani & Co going forward.

In a joint statement, the two firms said the partnership aims to advise clients in domestic, cross-border, and international matters. “Together, S&P and Gurbani are well-positioned to provide legal services in shipping, arbitration, and corporate and civil litigation, further enhancing their capabilities to serve clients in Singapore, Indonesia, and beyond,” the statement added.

Founded in 1989, Gurbani is led by managing director Govintharasah Ramanathan. It specializes in shipping, marine, general insurance, reinsurance, litigation, and international and domestic commercial arbitration.

Meanwhile, Sutedja, led by managing partner Andrew Sutedja, was founded in 1999. Its practice areas included Indonesian litigation, arbitration, corporate and commercial practices, and intellectual property services.
