Singapore firm KhattarWong has announced a wave of promotions, with Adrian Chin, Chua Yee Hoong and Haresh Kamdar being promoted to salaried partner, and Sandra Choy and Sharanjit Kaur being promoted to equity partner. The firm also hired corporate and securities partner Kelvyn Oo from Duane Morris & Selvam and Yoong Nim Chor from Yoong & Partners.

Oo’s areas of practice includes corporate finance, corporate and commercial law, capital markets, M&As, private equity and investment funds. He has experience advising issuers, funds and investment banks, advises issuers, funds, investment banks, listed and private companies in Asia and Europe on a range of equity securities issuances, compliance and regulatory matters, and on mergers, acquisitions and takeovers.

Yoong, meanwhile, has more than 30 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities and corporate restructuring. He is an expert on both Singapore and Malaysian laws.

Choy, who specialises in banking, finance and property, has represented individual buyers and sellers as well as developers, Singapore’s Housing & Development Board and JTC Corporation in the sale and purchase of residential, commercial and industrial projects. She also regularly advises most of the major banks, financial institutions and Central Provident Fund Board in various financing transactions. Meanwhile, Kaur’s areas of practice include insurance law, civil litigation and commercial litigation.

Singapore’s KhattarWong has welcomed back criminal defence lawyer Shashi Nathan, who joins as a partner in its criminal litigation department from boutique firm INCA Law.
