London-headquartered shipping firm Campbell Johnston Clark (CJC) has hired admiralty and casualty expert Paul Apostolis as a director in its Singapore office from HFW, where he was partner and a former head of that firm’s shipping practice in the city-state.

CJC has announced that another senior lawyer will be joining its Singapore office from HFW. With the addition of Apostolis, the office currently has two directors, three associates and a consultant.

A solicitor in England and Hong Kong and registered as a foreign lawyer in Singapore, Apostolis specialises in the investigation, management and resolution of the full range of maritime casualties in multiple jurisdictions. 

His areas of practice include ships, FPSO, offshore facilities, harbour installations and underwater structures and involves dry shipping aspects of casualties, policy wording disputes, reef damage assessment and rehabilitation claims and problem- solving in difficult jurisdictions including engaging with government and local authorities.

CJC also hired Andrew Gray as a partner and mariner in London from Clyde & Co.
