Submissions for the ALB Japan Law Awards 2017 are now open. Now on its 13th year, this event is held to honour and celebrate Japan’s top law firms, in-house counsel and deals. 

To accurately reflect the landscape of Japan’s legal market, ALB is delighted to announce the introduction of an updated methodology and new award categories for 2017. New categories for 2017 include Boutique Law Firm of the Year, Real Estate Law Firm of the Year, Projects, Energy and Infrastructure Law Firm of the Year and Woman Lawyer of the Year, among others.

There are a total of 34 award categories up for grabs: 8 for deal awards, 18 for firm awards, 4 for in-house awards and 4 for individual awards.

Following the research, submission and review process will be the awards ceremony hosted by ALB. The black-tie gala and dinner will take place on June 7 (Wednesday) at the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo.

The event promises recognition, transparency and inclusion. ALB looks forward to welcoming past participants and winners of the ALB Japan Law Awards, as well as new joiners from domestic Japanese firms and companies. Finalists and winners will have the opportunity to showcase their expertise alongside legal, business and government leaders from Japan.
