Singapore law firm Straits Law Practice has merged with insurance boutique M Rama Law Corporation.

M Rama Law advises insurance companies on general insurance cases, workplace injury, fire, public and product liability, inland transit, travel and professional indemnity matters. After the merger, the firm will continue its expertise in insurance law under the name of Straits Law Practice.

M Ramasamy and N.K Rajarh, who were managing director and director at M Rama Law, will now support the insurance litigation practice group at Straits Law.

“With over 36 years of litigation experience, I’m confident of our future prospects with M Ramasamy heading our Insurance practice,” said N Sreenivasan, managing director of Straits Law Practice in a statement.

Earlier in January, Straits Law’s litigation head Suresh Nair left for Advocatus Law in Singapore.
