Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Depending on the level of experience of the employment lawyer this role can be focussed on either non-contentious employment work and/or contentious employment disputes;
  • Clients include employers and employees of local and global conglomerates as well as reputable financial institutions; 
  • Involvement in employment work as follows: 
  • Hiring Strategies, Negotiating and drafting contract terms, Entitlements under deferred compensation, bonus and share schemes, Drafting and advising on post termination restrictions, Advising on performance reviews and appraisals
  • Advising on internal investigations, SFC regulatory investigations and disciplinary issues
  • Discrimination and privacy complaints/issues
    Applying for and defending injunctions, Advising on redundancy issues, Advising on termination and separation agreements
  • Representing both employers and employees engaged in legal proceedings from the Labour Tribunal to Court of Final Appeal

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 - 8 years PQE either HK or UK qualified with solid employment background 
  • Ability to work within a team environment 
  • Excellent drafting and communciation skills
  • Excellent opportunities for career progression with future tracks to Partnership 
  • English is a must, Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous but NOT essential
