Kim & Chang, South Korea’s largest law firm, has opened its first Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh City. It becomes the last of South Korea’s biggest firms to have an office in the Southeast Asian country.

The Ho Chi Minh City office has seven lawyers including three partners, namely Ujin Ahn, David Yongkyu Han and Ngoc Tuan Le. The three will jointly lead the office.

The new office is Kim & Chang’s third globally. Founded in 1973 in Seoul, the firm opened its second office—in Hong Kong—in 2012. Kim & Chang ranked in 12th place in the 2017 edition of ALB’s Top 50 rankings of Asian law firms.

According to a release, Kim & Chang has advised Korean multinational corporations and financial institutions on investments into Vietnam for more than a decade. The Ho Chi Minh City office will aim to provide fully integrated, one-stop legal services in close collaboration with the Seoul headquarters.
